"I never noticed that there were salad plates on all the designs. I guess because when you buy a set the appetizer plate is included which is smaller along with dinner plates and soup bowls. This is a great size! A must actually! I love the sadie design on this salad plate. Being red and white, this will look beautiful for Christmas, Valentines Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day. Also looks kind of fiesta like. I find that these would be great as your special holiday dishes, or your every day dishes. The red is not fire engine red but rather a raspberry red."
